Fröå camp – season-extending measures

The project will lead to the activity company's the camp at Fröå the tarn ”weather-proofed” and quality-assured to be able to extend the season and welcome guests for a longer time than is possible today. In collaboration with the hotels the company can then offer the guests a outdoor product during periods when conferences are traditionally not held in Åre due to the fickle weather (May-June and Sep-Nov).

MThe goal is to have a finished storage/workroom and a finished toilet to use for staff and guests before winter 24/25.

LAG board's justification

”The LAG board decides to prioritize the project with the justification that it contributes to increased competitiveness of Åre's tourist offerings and reduced vulnerability through extended season and weather-proofed and accessibility-adapted experiences.”
