About the project
LAG-owned umbrella project that forms a framework with 10 activities of 40,000 SEK within Smart Rural Areas. Within the project, the concept will be explored in collaboration with the villages and rural areas that want to develop.

LAG board's justification
LAG chooses to prioritize this project which is needed both to facilitate the exploration of opportunities in the new innovative concept of Smart Villages, and to increase goal fulfillment within intervention area 4. The projects fit well into the development strategy's intervention area 4 Innovation/New technology/New solutions/Research. The project is complemented by a mobilization project. The projects will jointly lead to the overarching goals Improved ability in local businesses to withstand and recover from internal and external disturbances, Increased innovation and drive in the area, and Improved infrastructure. The project is needed to mobilize people in the rural areas to meet societal challenges with more creativity and ingenuity.
