Electric conversion based on sustainability from three perspectives
About the project
In the project, one will convert a traditional snow blower so that it can run on electricity instead of fossil fuels. This will take place in collaboration between a company and the labor market unit in Åre municipality, and based on sustainability from three perspectives: economic, ecological, and social. The primary goal is to have a functioning electric snow blower that can be used in the municipality's daily work. One will also have tested the working model of collaborating with Åre municipality's labor market unit and those who are training there.
LAG board's justification
The LAG board chooses to prioritize this project,
which is expected to lead to goals within intervention area 4
Innovation/New technology/New solutions/Research.
The project actively and practically works with
investigating whether a fossil-driven snow blower can
be rebuilt and have an increased lifespan. This project
is permeated by a sustainability thought, where both
economic, ecological, and social sustainability are
central. Innovative thinking exists in the working method and
collaboration with Åre municipality.
