LAG board's justification
LAG chooses to prioritize this project. The pre-study is urgent and is expected to contribute to new knowledge in active forest management, and increased educational opportunities in our part of the country regarding an important common resource. Skills enhancement is important for long-term sustainability in forestry. There is potential for increased processing and new job opportunities in the long run, and it can simplify generational shifts.
