Feasibility study of trails and paths in Destination Funäsfjällen

About the project

Trails and paths are of great importance for the future development of Destination Funäsfjällen. Cross-country skiing and snowmobiling combined with the alpine product is a unique competitive advantage. Summer is the season with the greatest growth potential, and developing new paths for cycling, hiking, horseback riding, and canoeing in mountain-adjacent environments are success factors for an attractive summer product. A development based on today's and tomorrow's demands with a focus on accessibility, experience, and in harmony with environmental and cultural values. A signage and design program to support guidance and information as well as packaging and marketing. This application concerns a feasibility study that identifies and specifies the needs based on the above and describes the implementation in a future development project.

LAG board's justification

The project is approved because it leads to the strategy's goals of more, better, and more attractive nature and cultural environments. The project is at the forefront in finding economic sustainability through the development of payment systems that can generate future sustainability. LAG encourages the project to truly focus on and work even more with ecological sustainability in the project, as trails do generate wear and tear that needs to be counteracted.
