Sustainable
Fishing Future
About the project
To develop fishing tourism in Jämtland, it is crucial that the owner of the fishing resource (in most cases local fishing conservation areas) has a well-functioning management of their waters. Fishing conservation areas are run in association form with voluntary boards, and as voluntary engagement decreases, these organizations find it increasingly difficult to carry out their work. Supporting the fishing conservation areas with knowledge, networks, and increasing contacts between entrepreneurs and fishing conservation areas is therefore crucial for the development opportunities of fishing tourism.
