Härjedalian
quality timber
About the project
The project Härjedalskt quality timber, which is a project support for companies, is about an investment in new equipment and a saw house. The sawmill owner will be able to deliver high-quality, slow-growing wood to heritage conservation companies and private individuals who have the need, thanks to the new equipment. With a planer, the business can develop and further processing of timber can take place on-site in Härjedalen, something that is currently in demand by customers and partners.
LAG board's justification
The LAG board chooses to prioritize this project, which is expected to contribute to goals within the focus area Passionate Entrepreneurship in Collaboration. The project is estimated to make sellable products from locally produced high-quality wood raw material available, which through investments in machinery will lead to better profitability and more local jobs. Additionally, the cultural heritage of building in wood is promoted.
