The project is a continuation of an in-depth feasibility study for the establishmentof a sustainable urban area. In the new project, a program and a new detailed plan for the area where the district will be built will be developed. The project is financed with funds from the national allocation pot for the Regional Fund (ERUF).

LAG board's justification

The LAG board chooses to approve this project, which is expected to lead to goals within the intervention area Innovation/New technology/New solutions/Research. The Regional Fund has been chosen because the project contributes to laying an important foundation for strengthening connections between rural and urban areas in an innovative way.
