Art and
culture provides
nourishment and life
About the project
The project aims to increase the attraction of the village of Hoverberg and the surrounding area through art and cultural activities, strengthen cultural and social capital, and contribute to economic sustainability in service, production, and service companies.
People are offered to participate, as cultural practitioners or as an audience, and get to meet professional artists and cultural workers in art, gastronomy, dance, and music. Urban art meets rural culture, and international culture meets Swedish. Art and culture are seen as a broad field and encompass aesthetic expressions, exhibitions, arrangements, food, and music. Art interprets and communicates the qualities, history, and future of the area with elements of urban expressions, forms, and playfulness.
The goal is to develop a long-term development strategy and structure for collaboration on cultural issues along road 321. With the help of art, culture, and a focus on entrepreneurship and integration, the project aims to contribute to revitalizing the area and presenting new expressions, products, and services.
LAG board's justification
LAG board's motivation:
LAG prioritizes the project because it actively works with several of the Leader strategy's goals. The project actively works to increase social sustainability in the villages along 321 by striving to invite and involve all residents and visitors of the villages, and to make, among other things, the Hoverberg Cave accessible to those who cannot enter, by providing an opportunity for an interactive experience using new technology. The project touches on several goals within the intervention area Living Local Communities for All, and the hope is that the villages will be strengthened in the long term, not only through the increased cultural offerings during the project period but that the project leads to an established culture-driven rural development, exemplary participation, and increased well-being and health.
