Östnårbuan
About the project
The project is about increasing the standard of the mountain pasture Östnårbuan so that it becomes accessible to more visitors. An accessibility-adapted outdoor toilet will be built, a cooking house (where cheese and messmör are made) will be completed, and a storage building (for overnight stays) will be moved. This will lead to more visitors being able to stay longer, including older people and individuals with disabilities, more children can participate in camp activities at the mountain pasture, and better opportunities for overnight stays will be provided. It will also create opportunities for more people to summer job there and to create employment for individuals during the summer for young adults within LSS activities.
This is a PROJECT SUPPORT FOR COMPANIES which is a project form that receives a maximum of 70% and 200,000 SEK in support, as the benefit primarily accrues to the applicant company.
LAG board's justification
LAG board's motivation:
The LAG chooses to prioritize this project and is positive about the development of the mountain pasture. It is important to highlight the cultural heritage that mountain pastures represent. At the same time, there is a need to work on accessibility so that more can visit and stay in the environment, which occurs when the pasture is adapted for use in, among other things, LSS activities. The investments in the pasture also mean that more overnight stays can occur at the pasture, and camp activities can be expanded. The project is approved within intervention area 3. Attractive and dynamic nature and cultural environments where it is expected to contribute to goals of more new products and services.
