Cultural Event Test – Huså, Åreskutan, Kallbygden / Culture, Nature, Place
About the project
The project is about conducting a test version of a local cultural event that wants to grow, develop, and return annually during the midsummer weekend in 2018. The starting point is an existing tradition of organizing an art vernissage at Huså Manor on Midsummer Day. Around this, they now plan to highlight and coordinate other activities and create a cohesive, visible, and accessible event on a test scale. The project application concerns project management that includes coordinating the various efforts of associations and businesses in the form of voluntary work and their implementation of activities, and among other things, ensuring that it is expressed in the form of programs, content on the website, etc.

LAG board's justification
This Start Assistance is about finding a new way to work with cultural history through Husåspelet, and creating a new marketable product in the community. Additionally, a meeting place is created for residents, businesses, and associations that can create ripple effects in other ways. The project increases sustainability in the community by seeking a way to work economically sustainably with a recurring event, and also working on the script and performance to increase inclusion and the way to tell the story for today's new target groups.
