Control of flowering lupins in Åkersjön – Högrun

The purpose of the project is partly to increase the biological diversity in the area, ufacilitate for pollinators, increase the community in Åkersjön Elevation and be a health- and wellnessinitiative. 

In the long term, the project's efforts shall have increased awareness and knowledge about the value of removing the flowering lupins. Furthermore, people in the village will continue to remove the lupins as a natural part of, for example, walks. In collaboration with other actors working on the issue, this local result can be part of their work. Their hope after these years is that they see an increase in the natural fauna. "The project is prioritized because it preserves and develops the local resources in Åkersjön and Högrun, in this case high natural values.
