Storlienfjällens Friends trail and path development
About the project
The purpose of the project is to improve and develop the trail and path system in the Storlien area in a long-term and sustainable way and through that create:
– sustainable development for nature and the community
– preserve nature, to manage tourism and load to well-thought-out path systems
– job opportunities
– increase the visitor industry in a sustainable way
– accessible for everyone (old and young, tourists, cabin owners, and permanent residents)
– contributes to public health
– fantastic nature experiences
– increase year-round residency
– create better infrastructure
The goal after the project ends is to have renovated existing summer and winter trails in a sustainable way and established new sustainable paths. The paths should be clearly signposted and marked. We will have invested in environmentally friendly machines for the maintenance of the paths, built barbecue areas, wind shelters, and purchased storage space for machines, materials, and equipment.
