About the project

The purpose of the project is to develop the operations to increase the number of visitors and the conditions for the association to lease out the Harbor Café, hostel, and parking area.  

Goals after project completion is to The Arve Museum is expanded and furnished with new exhibitions. The forge is built and furnished, and courses are planned. The teaching room is established and a trial course has been conducted. 

In the long term, they have increased the visitor numbers to 3000-4000 museum visitors and thereby gained better conditions for year-round operations that can be leased out and run by an entrepreneur. This entrepreneur will, together with the volunteer cultural workers, be able to make the facility even better and further increase the number of visitors. 

LAG board's justification

”The project is prioritized as it contributes to learning across generational boundaries, understands technological development, and creates new reasons to visit and a broadened operation. The project also contributes to increased attraction and the museum's development. In the long run, new job opportunities are created.
